Oh, yes, crochet does go faster than knitting, but it uses 1/3 MORE yarn. So plan accordingly if you are doing a big project. :-D

there's a couple of other free beginner level patterns on the site - the scarflet and the Lyndham scarf - just basic stitches.
keep on with that hookin' but be careful of your wrist.

If by novice, you mean that she hasn't been knitting for years and years, that is true. But she is a fast learner and is not afraid to try new patterns. Personally, I think she does an excellent job on all of her knit projects.

thanks Sharon! I kinda like it. i thought it's going to be too stiff after felting, but it turned out to be soft. But yeah, maybe next time i can try to attach the handles after felting and see how it works. =)
